Nadav Barnea (b. 1987) is a multidisciplinary artist, artistic director, and international lighting designer.

A laureate of the 2024 Rosenblum Prize and the 2021 Theater Designer of the Year Award, Barnea has collaborated with prominent directors, choreographers, and art institutions worldwide. As a lighting designer, he works regularly with top-tier theaters, dance companies, and opera houses both in Israel and abroad.

In recent years, Barnea has created and served as artistic director for large-scale multidisciplinary works and installations. Notable projects include Nitzotzot and Light Storm for the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, as well as directing original productions for the Israeli Opera (Mozart's Requiem), the Israel Festival (The Dreamers), and the Acco Festival (PA'AM).

In 2023, Barnea created the renowned "BRING THEM HOME" light installation on the façade of the Charles Bronfman Auditorium (Heichal HaTarbut) in Tel Aviv. This iconic work quickly became an international symbol in the struggle for the release of the hostages.

As part of his multidisciplinary practice, Barnea also designs sound and soundtracks for dance, theater, television, and film. His notable collaborations with Ohad Naharin and the Batsheva Dance Company include sound design for the piece 2019, and serving as sound advisor for Venezuela (2017).
